As many of you know, and maybe many others dont, Eriador has severals zones in where you can level up until the cap of the game, right now is at lvl 65 but soon it shall be raised to lvl 75 with the Rise of Isengard ex-pack. Eriador is all the Westnorth part of the middle-earth and isnide their limit lines you can find zones like Bree-lands, Ered-Luin, the Shire, Angmar, North-downs, Evendim, Eregion, Forochel, Misty Mountains, Enedwaith, Lone-lands, Trollshaws and Ettenmoor... and possibly some other places that are not yet in the game.
I was thinking in start with Bree-lands, then go to Ered-Luin and then to the Shire... But some of them you already know, Like for example: (In the game-speaking), EVERYONE have been in Bree-lands... and eventually they have crossed the Shire... And Dwarves and Elves, Ered-Luin is like a must... so I'm gonna start with those lands that are not as common for everyone.
My first topic is going to be North-Downs. Why North-Downs? I do not know why North-downs but is quite fair... So.. SPOILERS AHEAD! WARNIIIIIIIIIING!
North-downs. Trust no one here. specially orcs, trolls and drakes. |
Why you have to try their quests? The special workbench is there, so is their owners and they are the only ones who can allow you to use it as long as you do at least one quest. Besides, you also have the III book I think, that is mostly in there, or even the quest for the Special forge I think... the special ore is also there.
The orcs and goblins stuff is basically for the deeds... deeds are good.. they are always good.
Talking about towns, this place is quite simple. Trestlebridge and Esteldín are the two only important towns in here, the rest of the places where you can find people are camps... well.. there's something like a Elf's town in some ruins at the Meluimen zone but... I dont know... is barely important... barely...
Anyway, this place is a nice place to gather logs, mostly yew at East of Kingsfell and Ash at West of Kingsfell, yet, some many places such as Fornost and those creepy plains have, sometimes, some yew as well. For the Ore, pretty sure that Silver is going to be a nice option to look for at north of Trestlebrigde, while in Western Kingsfell, Fornost, and Annundir is a great place for Rich Iron, specially Kingsfell and bth Nan Amlug. Sturdy hides, in this place, is easier to get as long as you want to own some signatures for it.
Deeds? You have plenty, Exploring ruins and looking for towns (Which you have to venture forth into Angmar to find one of the towns of the Earth-kin) are like 5 or 4, Orcs, goblins, trolls, Hillsmen, Wargs (I think) and oathbreakers for the Slayers, aside, you have a Reputation to raise in this place: Rangers of Esteldín. And some quest's deeds as well too, I almost forgot.
Most of the Crafting guilds are also located in this place, but in Esteldín, so you have to raise their rep too if you want some new shinnies recipes and better stuff to sell, get, create, craft, vendor or drop to the floor... if you like that, of course.
Honestly, North-downs is not a bad place to level, the only thing that I hate is that you have to walk or ride a lor if you want to go to Bree-lands... especially if you are at Esteldín... that road can be a pain sometimes, not for the enemies, since it's quite clear, but for the distance.
Some nice views of the North-downs:
I... for some reason, never been in here... Dern it.. I need to go now there and take a screen >.< |
Wait a sec... I have been in THAT camp... >.< |
Falconer's tower... I love this place. |
More of the Fornost's plains. at night this place gets creepier. *nod nod* |
Esteldín... No worries... You HAVE to visit this place. Like it or not :) It's like Tatooine, you dont like it, but you have to go at leats once. |
The only thing that it keeps me wondering all the time is... Why Kingsfell is called "Kingsfell" anyway? I think that could be about Elendil when Sauron owned him in PvP, or maybe when Isildur got onwed trying to get the Orc's deed... can't be sure.
Well, good luck everyone! I have to go, have a great hunting and a great night as well!
