Regions: Evendim.

Evendim used to be one of the zones that I hated more in the game, it was not able to defeat my hate for Angmar but was somehow close, very, very close. Of course, this was before it got Revamped and become a zone that, now, I enjoy without any doubt.

Today a friend of mine in the game, Timbal, asked me which zone he could go now that he reached lvl 30, if this question were asked time ago I could have perfectly say: "Do Skirmish unil you hit 38, then go to Trollshaws, it's probably that you are going to die there, but at least you are not going to swim all the freaking day to complete only 20 quests." But today, my answer was another.

Yes, that's a big lake indeed.
Since he is not "new" in Lotro, but is "somehow new", I told him to buy some TP and get one of two quests packs, even North-downs or maybe Evendim. of course, the balance was more havy on the Evendim side after all. Not only for the awesome purple armor from the Wardens, but also for the entire gear maded it only for your class, the great storyline and the resources of the zone, which are quite good to complete a bit of Crafting as well.

Evendim lies at the North of the Shire, quoting (I know, I butchered the english again!) Lotro-wiki, its at 100 miles north.. Can't be sure, but let's say "ok" to that. Is the old lands of the old capital city of the Arnor Kingdom, know as Annúminas and is guarded... well, Fail-guarded, by the Wardens of the Evendim. Fail because those ruins are FULL of monsters and enemies ready to kill you.

Part of the quests in there belongs to Evendim, but some of the Deeds are part of the Shire as well, at least near Dwaling and Oathbarton, not so sure if this is a bug or something, but I'm not the only one wandering about that when you are at Dwaling killing bad guys and suddenly: Deed complete: Brigand's slayer (Advanced), Shire" appears... or somehting like that... anyways...

This zone is quite easy, not in enemy-wise talking, but in direction about quests and stuff. Starts in Oathbarton, then go to Dwaling, then go to King's cross, then go to Tinnudir, then Ost Forod, then the Eavespires, Tinnudir and finally Annúnimas. easy to proceed and quite great to enjoy. the story line is pretty good, allows you to be focus a bit out of the ring and the fellowship issues and allows you, as well, to become a great hero of the Middle Earth.

The zoneis vast and open, and is quite hard to get lost in here. in fact, there's a quest that allows you to: "I'm not gonna spoil! Muahahahah!" but its awesome, you should do it anyways.

Talkign about resources, so far i know that there's a lot of Yew logs, few places where the sturdy leather is at, lots where the pristine or one harder than the sturdy is located. That's for tailoring, for prospecting, you can find lots and lots of Rich Iron veins and Gold, a good place without any doubt for armorers and weaponsmiths to work in. Due is close to Esteldin, is a good place to level up while you get materials for the next rank in craftin and the quests that allows you to get the next rank as well.

In enemy-talking... Well, you mostly are going to be hated by the tomb-robbers and Angmarin forces, then, you are going to hate the overpowered goblins that lives in few places in Evendim and maybe you are going to have fun with all the things that have fur, such as wolves, bears, wargs and guys-that-looks-like-werewolves.

King[s cross, from the ruins at the other side
of the Barandalf.

Annúminas, the last questing part of the zone..
I think.

Tinnudir, the bigest town in Evendim.

This place is great, my advice, go there. Even if you dont like the quest story-line, at least you are going to end with a nice lvl 32-up gear that is worthy to have for Trollshaws and, sometimes, looks awesome. Like on Champions or maybe Wardens.. no one else :P

Well, I gotta go, have a great time friends! and a great hunting as well, hopefully I'll ba back online this week to the game >.<
