Arlequins, of Brandywine.

Provided for Darana, from the Arlequins:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a huge task finding a home for a character in-game. It changes the course of your enjoyment, how you spend your time, who you meet, and what you can accomplish.  One of the kinships created specifically to help you find that in-game family is Arlequins on the Brandywine server.

Created in March 2010 on Brandywine, Arlequins rose from the collapse of another game, Dark Age of Camelot. Long time leader and MMO-player Darana created Arlequins in Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) with a few online and real life friends, eventually expanding the kinship to its present size of over 40 accounts.

The Arlequins kinship is comprised of players from all over the United States and Europe, mostly in their twenties and thirties, and from all backgrounds (the leader is a long-time US military veteran). Because Arlequins is deliberately kept small, it allows the members to get to know each other and learn the instances together, creating a fun-loving, family mindset amongst members.

Even though Arlequins is small, the kinship is always welcoming new members to our ranks and accept help request from new players.  Officers Darana, Spyyke, and Iggychick, are dedicated to helping others inside and outside of the kinship complete their tasks. For example, Arlequins hosted a fireworks show for all of Brandywine for several nights during the Summer festival.  Also, the kinship regularly schedules “Newbie Nights” where we go to Combe and distribute crafted items to new players (announced on Twitter and in-game so all of Brandywine can participate).

Arlequins enjoys heading into the depths of Mirkwood and Enedwaith, but mainly enjoy the old "end-game" instances like Annuminas, Carn Dum, and Goblin-town.  The kinship only has a few hardcore raiders, but the kinship runs regularly scheduled runs every week.  Most recently we completed Rift of Nûrz Ghâshu.

The actively used kinship website (http://www.thearlequins.com) is maintained by the officers, and lists all upcoming events, tips, links, and game information.  Also included on the website are forums where members can post for crafting items or even post a “wish list,” which allows the member to post a list of items they need for each of their characters.  Important news is also posted on the Twitter website: http://www.twitter.com/arlequinskin

If you are on the Brandywine server and looking for a friendly, helpful, casual, and social kinship, Arlequins hopes to be a part of your LOTRO family!  We are actively preparing for the release of Isengard, so come join us!

Thanks to the Arlequins for this Information! well based and almost covered many aspects that we, as a new player in the server, could have. In the next post, I´m going to write about my experience about this great interview, and about some questions that I had in mind in that moment, that I did without any doubt :)
